Dear Neighbors,

This is a call for candidates for the SBPOA Board of Directors and the Architectural Review Committee.

Candidates wishing to be on voting packet ballots must submit their names to the board no later than December 20, allowing the board secretary to prepare and distribute the ballots 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting on Saturday, January 25, 2020, as required by Florida law.

Important note concerning this year's Board of Directors election: The CC&Rs were revised by a membership vote earlier this year, reducing the board from six to five members. Also, that vote established rotating two-year terms. To initiate that rotating process, the ballot for the 2020 election will have two sections: Two (2), two-year board seats will be available and three (3) one-year seats will be available. For the 2020 election, you will need to designate if you are a candidate for a two-year or a one-year term.

(In 2021, three (3) two-year seats will be available. In 2022, two (2) two-year board seats will be available. And so the rotation will go forward: in even years, two (2) two-year seats will be open; in odd years, three (3) two-year seats will be open.)

In addition to the Board of Directors election, the annual election of three members to the Architectural Review Committee will occur at the annual meeting. Candidates to the ARC should also submit their names to a board member by December 20.
